put a gun in my mouth and threaten to shoot,
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sup] , gathering herself, Renesmee rose from her bed. It was just another day, another day without him waking by her side. Of course it was a horrible, tearing feeling, one that she would never forget, but Renesmee did try to do so. She drowned herself in parties and what she now considered "fun", but nothing ever seemed to work. She wore a light silk nightgown, that trailed to her mid-thighs, and thin spaghetti straps. Shivering gently from the chill in her room, she gently pranced across the room, though her gait was choppy and slow. Renesmee wasn't her normal, cheery self at all; in fact, she'd sunk lower and lower since that day.
, after taking a shower, she dressed in a pair of Grey sweatpants, with a white shirt. She polished it off with a grey hoodie. The hoodie was actually Emmetts, she'd just "borrowed" it for her little trip today. No matter; he wouldn't care. And if he did? Well .. then he'd have to deal with it. Her sneakers were Grey, as well, to finish off the outfit. With little effort, she climbed out of her window and was headed off into the direction of Mt. McKinley.
, after having gone far enough, Renesmee stopped in her tracks. Before her stood nothing but towering trees; row upon row of sweeping emerald. She stood on a cliff, high enough in the air to make her weary of the edge. While her parents could jump off of it and feel nothing, she would break a bone or two. carefully sliding to the edge, she sat with her arms wrapped around her legs, and her chin on her knees.

Emmett wasn’t normally fussy about what he wore when he went out but Rose had decided to ring him just five minutes ago and tell him to dress nicely because they were going out. As per usual he had grumbled and complained but it didn’t take much for Rose to get what she wanted and he was now searching in there closet for something to wear. Most of the clothes in here were Rosalie’s but Rose kept Em supplied with quite a lot of clothing so that he would never be sort of something to wear. He pulled some tags off of some new jeans and a top and pulled them on. It was a pair of jeans and top that Rose had put together the other day and told him to wear next time they went out, so he was following orders. He pulled on some new sneakers that were lined up next to all of Rose’s shoes, boots and some of his shoes most of which, like his clothes, he had not chosen.
Exiting the closet he reached for the hoodie that was normally hung on the chair behind Rose’s dressing table. Feeling nothing he turned and saw the hoodie was gone. He let out an audible sigh. He had chosen the hoodie the other day and loved it. He’d not warn it yet and thought it would be nice to wear today while he got dragged around the shops. Make him blend in more with all the humans who would be wrapped up warm against the cool air. He stood there for a moment before looking over to his window – which covered the whole of one of the walls in their bedroom – and saw Renesmee walking into the woods, wearing his hoodie.
He watched her for a second before exiting his room and heading down the stairs. He kept his gliding stride slow as he followed her. It wasn’t long before he saw her sit at the edge of mt. Mckinley. At first he’d thought she was going to jump and was ready to stop her, not that she’d die, but it would save a lot panic and a few broken bones. He watched as she sat with her knees huddled to her chest and walked out from woods and sat next to her. ”Hey. You ok?” he asked. He wanted to stop her sadness. To make everything better but didn’t know how. Instead he put a comforting arm round her shoulder. Pulling his cell phone out of his pocket and sending Rose a quick text to tell her he’d join her later and that he was busy. Rose would understand, Renesmee was top prioty at the moment.

put a gun in my mouth and threaten to shoot,
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sup] , she could smell him before she saw him out of her peripheral vision. He was always a comfort, and somebody she could lean on- or hide behind. Different than her Father or Jasper, or even Carlisle, because he didn't mind allowing her to get dirty, or play-fighting against her, one of her more favored past times. It seemed, though, that everybody was walking on eggshells around her now a day. Like they thought she was waiting to explode into threats of suicide; like she was going to burst out in tears at any minute. But perhaps that was the problem? The fact that she hadn't cried or broken down in front of anybody since that day? Perhaps they thought she was past her due.
She instantly cuddle up to him when he wrapped his arm around her, her face pressed into his shoulder and chest. She was used to being touched almost constantly- hugged, kissed, even simple touches to show others how she felt or what she meant; her power came in handy sometimes. Emitting into Emmett the more abstract side of her power, she told him through simple tones of feeling that she was fine, though it was a wobbly facade and she knew he'd be able to feel it. She felt horrible; she felt like jumping off the cliff, even though she knew it would be futile. Perhaps the pain of broken bones, though, would distract her from the emotional and mental pain she experienced? Realizing that Emmett would have been able to hear and feel all of these thoughts because of her connection to him, she snapped backward, breaking the bond between them.
Instead of looking at him, she stared out into the seemingly endless sea of evergreens and pines; blinking once or twice before whispering "I'm fine. Really." and left it at that, though a year slid from the corner of her eye. Lowering her head back to her knees, Renesmee concentrated solely on keeping herself together.
Eying the phone in his hand she mumbled "Shouldn't you be somewhere?" though it wasn't in bad spirits, more out of curiosity. Renesmee had a tendency to be brutally honest and open with what she said; she rarely filtered anything to make it sound any better than what it was. She wanted to know if he needed, or wanted for that matter, to be somewhere else at the moment, and that is exactly what she asked. Of course, it may have come out a little more bitter than she wanted it to.

It wasn’t like seeing into Renesmees mind was rare. She often showed how she felt rather than say how she was feeling. Although the lapse was rare, seeing how she really felt. She’d been doing so well, hiding all this from everyone. He watched, staring blankly at the view ahead, he cuddled her closer to him. He felt her snap back once she realized her mistake in showing him all her pain and torment. ”Renesmee, i am so sorry” he muttered. Pulling her back into his chest to comfort her.
He couldn’t think of the right words to say, anything he did say would be wrong, Emmett had the amazing ability to say the wrong thing at the wrong time and so he learnt to keep his gob shut at times like this. Instead he just hugged her. ”You need me more. Rose can drag me shopping whenever she wants. You need me right now” he told her, quietly. He wanted her to know how much he cared. ”plus, someone stole my favourite hoodie, so i can’t go anywhere” he said as he playfully, trying to lighten the mood.
He sat there in silence and let her shed her tears. She needed to get all of this off her chest. She’d hidden it for so long it was about time she showed some emotion, being half-human and all. He wished he could have changed the past but it was out of his hands. All he could do was comfort her. i’m sorry, Renesmee, so so sorry that we did this too you he whispered. Well more breathed, hoping she would and wouldn’t hear it. He wanted her to know how sorry he was without making her feel worse. He racked his brains for something to say but came up with nothing. Maybe he could convince her to come shopping with him and Rose. She used to love that as a kid. ”Hey, why not come shopping with me and Rose? Just like old times?” he asked her. Hoping she would agree but deep down knowing she probably wouldn't. He hadn't even seen her leave the house in ages, except to hunt and go for walks or to come up here - as he had just found out.

put a gun in my mouth and threaten to shoot,
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sup] , she whimpered gently when he pulled her back to his chest, and let herself let go. though it hurt her more than words, or even her ability, could say, she let herself cry. She was half human, and so she had stronger emotions than the rest of them. It was hard, sometimes, not having others to talk to who shared the same emotional "issues." In fact, she'd contemplated spending some time with the other Halflings in the Amazon in order to see what it was like, to get away from it all. That was, of course, before he came and took her love away.
Completely spent, Renesmee simply went limp. She shook slightly, one of those things she did when she cried, but other than that she just stared out into the distance. Her mind had gone almost blank, the only thing swirling in it being the shroud of pain she'd kept for so long. How long had it been so far? A year? Yes, that was about it. A year, and in that time she'd done so much, yet so little. She'd partied and found herself a new obsession; a new type of drug. Her parents, however, didn't approve. She didn't think any of her family approved of him, but she didn't care. She wanted him.
Curling up into a tighter ball against him, she closed her eyes and let the calming sensation that only Emmett could bring wash over her. It was simply the calm that came with knowing you were fully safe, and that nothing could harm you. When he mentioned shopping, she buried her head into his shoulder and mumbled something, though it was quite muffled, that sounded like "rose is going to follow me around and ask me whats wrong over and over until i snap, and then she's going to follow me around saying she's sorry... sure, why not?" a bittersweet smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
Remembering the times she'd spent out with them, following them around and allowing Rosalie to dress her up and swoon over her. It was simply nostalgic, and she couldn't help but long for such times. It had been so sudden when her emotions had hit- all of a sudden she felt new things, such as envy and rage and even lust. Normal humans, they had a transition period of a few years while these things settled in, while Renesmee had a couple of months. Having such emotions settle in such a short time hadn't sat well, and she was still trying to adjust to them. Renesmee couldn't help but long for those days when she was younger, smaller, without these troublesome feelings and thoughts.
