Shelfield Institute. One of the most prestigious musical high schools in the country. It takes a lot to be accepted into this high school and if you’re accepted here then you’ll make it someday. But when you’ll make it depends on how hard you plan on working while you’re in the high school.
Just about everyone in the school has a band. And if you don’t have a band then you work for a band. Bands are the in thing at the school because music is their focus. Of course, there are other classes at the school but when you have music on your mind all the time it’s never much of an ordeal. Music is the focus all the time and it’s on everyone’s mind.
However, though music might be the main focus, there is a large battle of the bands every year held at the Sickly Sweet Melodies Venue. The battle of the bands here is a big ordeal and if you’re not in the battle you might as well not be part of the Institute. The venue is open to the students at the school all year round as long as there isn’t a show going on.
This year, nine of Shelfield's bands are in it to win it. These students have been working hard, or most of them anyway, and are all against eachother to win the prize. They have til' the end of the school year to impress everyone at Sickly Sweet Medodies Venue and have one chance at the very end to see who's top dog. The Getaway. Temptation's Daughters. Calling The Sunrise. Static Sound. The It Girls. Shades of Darkness. Homecoming. Slide Show. Spotlight Search. All the bands are unique in their own way and each song is different from another. And there's only one thing on each of their minds: We're gonna win.
Now that these nine bands have entered this battle, they find themselves becoming more famous with each show they play for practice. They have fans! They're signing papers! They're being screamed for! Will they embrace the fame and find that it's not all that? Or will they realize that fame isn't always good and they try and lay low? Everyone will be talking about this and it will surely be Las Vegas's biggest event of the year.
